Pete Hansen was originally from Denmark, but moved with his family to the USA when he was two years old. He was an animator at the Disney Studios from 1938 to 1941. Later on, he worked on a couple of newspaper comics, including ‘Flapdoodles’ (1950-1953) and ‘Lolly’ (1955-1983). In the 1980s, he did some scriptwriting for the American production of Disney comics for foreign publications.
