One of the most refreshingly funny comic strips of modern times, Beau Peep was the creation of writer Roger Kettle and artist Andrew Christine. Beau, a distinctly comical figure (real name Bert), joined the Foreign Legion to escape his brutish wife, Doris, but proved to be an incompetent soldier and a liability to his colleagues. The strip became instantly popular amongst the Star’s readers and 20 softback Beau Peep anthologies collecting the strips were published between 1980 and 1998.

I have downloaded the Beau Peep files but can only unzip books 7-11. Books 1-6 appear to be faulty cbr files. Please can this be corrected. Thanks for a brilliant site.

Someone else had the same, i believe it’s because 1-6 are PNG and 7-11 are JPG. I myself can open them without problems with CDisplayEx and Comicrack or unzip them with WinRar.

I’ve tried both those comic readers in my phone… no joy. I also tried an online extractor…again, no joy. Ah, well… 😟

Hmmm…I opened a mediafire account yesterday and have been having problems with links. I uploaded this file yesterday as well. I don’t know why, but sometimes I can get to the download and other times I fail. Anyway, try these 2 links. They go to the same file, and are basically the same. However, I’ve taken the % symbols out of the second one. These are both working for me at the moment.

I am afraid both files are blocked. I guess the png can’t be read with a phone ? I’m not that expert, perhaps someone else with more knowledge can help you.

I opened Comicbook Rack, dragged the bp file into it, and it opened OK.

Book 1. Only the first 8 pages out of 66 would open.

I saved all the pictures to a folder then read them with the Windows Picture Viewer, which allows you to keep going to the next picture.
